AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM

Details

The YMCA of Parkersburg’s After-School Program provides a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for Elementary students (Pre-K through 5th grade). Care is available after school until 6:00 PM at convenient school sites throughout Wood County.

We also offer Out-of-School Care at the YMCA on most school holidays and snow days, ensuring your child has a safe and enriching place to be when school is out.

Cost

ATTENDANCE-BASED WEEKLY RATES:

Families will be charged the 1–2 day rate when a child attends one or two days in a week and the 3–5 day rate when a child attends three or more days. All out-of-school days, including Pre-K Fridays are included at no additional cost. Registration fee is $30 per child.

Important: If you receive a childcare subsidy, please bring your certificate of subsidy.

Complete the paper registration form and return it to the Family Services Desk at the YMCA of Parkersburg to secure your child’s spot at any time.

Non-Wood County Students: Students from outside the Wood County Public School System are welcome to attend the YMCA’s After-School and Out-of-School Care programs.

Please note: Transportation to and from the YMCA will not be provided.

  • The YMCA of Parkersburg provides child care on the following days when Wood County Schools are closed. Care is available from 6:30AM to 6:00PM.

    • October 12th

    • November 2nd & 3rd

    • November 11th

    • Fall Break: November 23rd-25th

    • Winter Break: December 18th, 21st-23rd, 28th-30th

    • January 18th

    • February 12th

    • February 15th & 16th

    • Spring Break: March 29th - April 2nd & April 5th

  • The YMCA of Parkersburg’s Childcare Facility will be CLOSED on these days.

    • Labor Day: September 7th

    • Thanksgiving: November 26th - 27th

    • Christmas: December 24th & 25th

    • New Years: December 31st & January 1st

    • Memorial Day: May 31st

  • The YMCA of Parkersburg offers child care when Wood County Schools Pre-K is closed, including Fridays and days when Pre-K is closed by Wood County grade schools remain open. Care is available from 6:30AM to 6:00PM.
