Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Heart of Our Community donors, the YMCA of Parkersburg continues to strengthen lives and build a healthier, more connected community.

Your support helps ensure that everyone has the opportunity to belong, grow, and thrive at the Y.

Here’s what your generosity made possible:

• Over $500 in financial assistance each month helped make YMCA memberships accessible to individuals and families regardless of their ability to pay.

• 232 children spent their summer at the Y in a safe, fun, and supportive environment while their parents worked.

• More than 230 students participated in After-School care, receiving homework help and a safe place to go while their parents finished the workday.

• 249 people learned to swim through YMCA swim lessons, gaining skills that can help keep them safer in and around the water.

• 42 toddlers participated in Early Learning, receiving affordable childcare while building the skills they need to prepare for school.

• 31 days of childcare were provided when school was closed, giving working parents dependable care during breaks, holidays, and snow days.

• 136 military members, veterans, and their families received membership discounts, helping make the Y more accessible to those who serve and have served.

Become a 2027 Donor

You can make a lasting impact in the Mid-Ohio Valley by becoming a 2027 Heart of Our Community donor. By becoming a donor, you’ll be recognized for your generosity in helping the YMCA strengthen youth, families, and community in the Mid-Ohio Valley. Each donor level comes with special recognition at the event, and upper levels will also have their name and/or logo displayed on the YMCA’s Donor Wall. As a thank you for your support, you’ll also receive complimentary tickets to the Heart of Our Community Dinner.
