What is your role at the YMCA? 

I work at the Membership Front Desk.

Tell us a little about your Y-story. What made you want to come work at the YMCA? 

I decided to work at the YMCA because I’ve always been passionate about helping others. The YMCA’s mission really resonated with me, especially its focus on a healthy living. I wanted to be part of an organization that not only promotes physical health but also fosters a sense of belonging and inclusion for all. Whether it’s helping kids grow through after-school programs, supporting people in their fitness journey, or being involved in community outreach, I knew the YMCA was the place where I could make the most meaningful impact!

How has the YMCA impacted your life? 

The YMCA has given me plenty of opportunities to connect and serve my community.

What do you think the community needs to know about the YMCA of Parkersburg?

The YMCA is a very welcoming community, and provides many opportunities.

How have you witnessed the YMCA mission in action?

YMCA Mission: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. 

I have witnessed the respect and genuineness between patrons.

What is something you are proud of from the last year?

I am proud of running a marathon!
